Speech Pathology provides care and services to children and adults who have communication and/or swallowing disorders. This includes speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition, paediatric feeding and patients requiring laryngectomy or tracheostomy management.
Latrobe Regional Hospital Speech Pathologists work across services including all acute and sub-acute units, the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre and outpatient multidisciplinary programs.
Paediatric therapy is provided via the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service.
Specialist Speech Pathology outpatient clinics include:
- videofluoroscopy (instrumental assessment of swallowing)
- paediatric feeding
- voice assessment and therapy
