Gippsland Region Public Health Unit is partnering with Gippsland Councils and pharmacies to offer free top-up measles vaccination to adults aged 20-59. Many Gippsland adults will have only received a single dose of measles containing vaccine during childhood, especially those born between 1966 and 1992 or born overseas. A free measles vaccine top-up available in Gippsland can help protect you and the people around you. Measles is a highly contagious infection that can cause serious complications, particularly in unvaccinated people. Measles cases are increasing in Victoria and globally, but protection is available in Gippsland with free measles vaccination through local Gippsland providers.
