Cardiology conference coming to Gippsland
Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) will host the region’s first cardiology conference later this month.
“We’ll be inviting GPs from across Gippsland to attend the inaugural Gippsland Cardiology Conference,” LRH Director of Cardiology Dr Derk Pol said.
“In the past, local doctors would have to travel to Melbourne or interstate to hear the latest research and innovation in the field, so we’re delighted to be able to bring this to Gippsland.”
The Gippsland Cardiology Conference will be held on Saturday 28 October.
“The program for the day will include an overview of what services are available locally and feature sessions on topics such as heart failure, valve disease and arrhythmias.
“There will also be a series of training sessions for GPs so they can take those skills back to their community after the conference,” Dr Pol said.
Bookings are essential and registrations are available online.
Parking and catering will be available on the day.
