Expanded facilities for women, children and babies are the centrepiece of a $217 million development at LRH which will open at the start of 2024.
The new unit will feature:
- 6 birthing suites with a central monitoring system to watch over you
- 24 beds with access to a terrace overlooking the ranges
- assessment and consultation spaces
- 12 cot special care nursery with state-of-the-art medical service pendants and monitoring systems for your baby
- 10 bed paediatric unit with an outdoor play area and an indoor playroom featuring an interactive digital wall to engage young patients.
The unit also includes a quiet lounge for parents, amenities and parent areas within rooms so they are able to support their children during their stay.
